HAN CHIANG COLLEGE'S GAA CEREMONY
Georgetown, Penang. GAA Ceremony of Han Chiang College is coming to hit the town as usual. Arrival of students and guests at will be welcome at 6pm sharp.
After that, there is an half hour live band performance by Teen Frequency. It
is use to welcome the arrivals of guests-of-honor and VIPs. The section of national
and state anthem will start at 7pm when all of the guests have gather in the
hall. There is a short video presentation at first. Not only that, but orchestra also become the opening performance of GAA. This performance is present by the Viva
Voice. Moreover, the welcoming speech will be given by the honorable principal
of Han Chiang College, Dato' Dr Cheah See Kian and the following speech will
given by the chairman of Han Chiang College - Dato' Ooi Soo Hing and also the
Chief Minister of Penang - YAB Tuan Lim Guan Eng. When the section of giving
speech has come to the end, the Chinese cultural dance "GoodDay" will
be presented. After the cultural
dance is the GAA Opening Ceremony which presented by YAB Lim Guan Eng, the
Chief Minister of Penang.
The representative of Han Chiang present the souvenirs to YAB Lim Guan Eng to thanks for the attending. Besides that, the presentation of souvenirs to panel of judges and sponsors also carried out. "A day in market" is the comedy drama which presented by the School of Business and Management Students. 10 minutes later will be the presentation of awards. First of all are the awards for the School of Business and Management. The award is the Best Young Potential Entrepreneur. Han Chiang College Dance & Drama Society will perform a dance at 8.30pm. The presentation of awards for the School of Multimedia & Information Technologies will start ten minutes later after the performance. The awards included IT Technopreneurship, The Best Creative Game Design, The Best Creative Print Design and The Best Creative Video Design. The following presentation of awards will be present to the The School of Chinese Studies. There will only has one award for Chinese school which is The Most Promising Young Researcher in Chinese Studies. The program following is the K-POP dance which present by Parazee the showroom. Parazee the showroom is form by Han Chiang College Mass Communication Student. After 10 minutes of the interesting K-POP dance performance it’s about 9.20pm.
The presentation of award school of Communication will start presenting the award of Most Promising Journalist(English),Most Promising Journalist(Mandarin),thirdly will be the Most Creative Advertisement and last will be the Best Advertising Campaign. Around 10pm the Presentation of Awards – School of Communication still hanging on, after the Best Advertising Campaign will be the Best Editing Awards and Best Short Production. The last second awards of School of Communication will be Best Directing and the last award will be Best Non-Fiction Production.
Presentation of Special Awards will start at 10:20pm which also the last Presentation of the night. It will give away the Most Outstanding Alumnus and Alumna. Lastly will be the Best Dressed Awards. Group photo of all the winners will be after the Presentation which around 10:30pm. The last performance of the night will be the ending Performance which is the flash Mob Dance.
